WDS Member Spotlight: Drs. Susan and Allison Weinkle

WDS Editorial Highlight By Shawna Flanagan, MD Read more Editorial Highlights on the WDS Website Dr. Susan Weinkle has been past president of the WDS, ASDS, Florida Society of Dermatologic Surgery and was the first woman to receive the FSDDS surgeon of the year.  Most recently, in 2017 she received the WDS Legacy honor as well as the ASDS Stegman award.  She is actively involved in our profession and is a willing and enthusiastic mentor to all.  She recognizes the WDS as being supportive of her career with many wonderful mentors along the way. One of her greatest achievements, though, is having her daughter, Allison Weinkle, decide to follow in her footsteps.   As Susan has said, at 16 years old, Allison wanted to be nothing like me … now she’s a “mini me!”    Allison is a PGY-3 second year dermatology resident at the University of South Florida and pursuing a Mohs Fellowship after her residency and will soon join her mother in her privat...

WDS Member Spotlight: E. Nikki Pritchett, MD, MPH

E. Nikki Pritchett, MD, MPH, is a Senior Staff Physician in Dermatology and Medical Director of the Global Health Initiative at Henry Ford Health System. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Public Health from Yale University.  She completed both her medical training and residency at Drexel University College of Medicine.  She is a member of several committees including the AAD Diversity Task Force, the Skin of Color Society Diversity in Action Task Force, the WDS Mentorship Committee and the WDS Disaster Support Committee.  She was a recipient of the AAD Resident International Grant.  She has received teaching awards and a Diversity Hero Award from Henry Ford Health System. >>  Read the Full Article to learn more about Dr. Pritchett Interview Questions What motivates you?  Who has influenced you the most?  Which leadership skills were the most difficult for you to develop?
