WDS Service Spotlight: TIPP & Coast-2-Coast Events

WDS prides itself on its commitment to service. Even though most of the world is functioning virtually these days, it is still possible to contribute to WDS’s mission of being dedicated … to volunteerism!

TIPP Women’s Shelter Initiative

Through the use of informative presentations, this initiative helps women in shelters and other facilities/organizations enter back into society with confidence and self-esteem. This program helps address the ‘whole-woman’ and her body and mind systems.

The best part..? You can conduct the entire event from your living room!

  1. Select a local shelter
  2. Select your event details (Date, Time, Type of Event & Programming)
  3. Determine needs and request WDS support (Food, Beverages, Posters, Takeaway Bags, & Other Materials)
  4. Host your Event & Take Photos/Video (Zoom photos would be great!)
  5. Recap & Wrap Up

Coast-2-Coast Events

Although Coast-2-Coast events usually contain a skin-screening component, it is still possible to do a virtual event focused on public education about sun safety and skin health!

  1. Brainstorm your type of event and location.
  2. Complete a Toolkit Request Form.
  3. View and Download WDS Sun Safety Resources to use at your event
  4. Present your event, enjoy, and send us some feedback & photos!
